A Truly Bespoke River Cruising Experience
Sue and Grahame welcome you to the relaxed, informal world of river cruising.
Isabella River Cruises offers you the opportunity to experience the tranquil beauty of some of the most stunning river scenery in the South of England. We offer a crewed all inclusive trip on a modern comfortable river cruiser allowing you to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the river without the stress of having to cope with the logistics of travelling on water. We look after the boat handling, cooking and cleaning, leaving you free to enjoy the atmosphere, sights and sounds of the river and its environs.
Most importantly we will tailor your holiday
to your preferences. We can
do this because we only have one party of guests on board and we do not
have a rigid cruising schedule, the boat is available for your party
only, the only schedule we have to keep to is yours. You can even decide the
route! We have one double guest cabin and also an occasional bed in the
saloon so parties of one to three can be catered for, one couple is
ideal.
For most of the summer of 2012 we will be loosely based around Reading, giving direct access to the Upper Thames as far as Lechlade, The Kennet and Avon Canal as far as Bristol and the Lower Thames as far as Brentford. We also plan to visit Central London with possible trips up the Grand Union Canal and/or The Lee and Stort.
The actual schedule develops as people book up so if you have a strong preference book early!

The Boat
Isabella is a 5 year old 57ft x 10ft Widebeam River Cruiser. Being 10ft wide she has rooms rather than corridors, a fact much appreciated by people who have experienced a traditional narrow boat. She is fully professionally fitted out and can best be described as a self contained floating modern apartment. She is centrally heated but also has the traditional solid fuel burning stove and a domestic sized bathroom with full size bath and power shower. She is our permanent home and we invite you to share both the boat and the relaxed and informal lifestyle of the rivers and canals.
